Ellen Degeneres descended upon Wall Street to interview a few experts at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), one of them being Doreen Mogavero. The Emmy-winning daytime television talk show hostess brought the cameras, laughter, and pizzas to kick off her East Coast tour.

What is the difference between a Bull Market and a Bear Market?

When Ellen asked Doreen the difference between a “bull” and a “bear” market, Doreen set Ellen up with a one-two-punch joke. First, Doreen accidentally gave Ellen the opposite meanings of these two terms.

Can you blame Doreen here? Seriously, this is Ellen DeGeneres! Ellen is one of the few people who can enter any place and completely disarm the most knowledgeable broker. It just happened to be on Doreen’s New York Stock Exchange home.

Doreen had a good time with the question, and Ellen’s audience in the studio enjoyed the candor. After correcting the mistake, Ellen asked, “You’re giving me a buncha bull, aren’t ya?”

“Yes I am!” Doreen replied through her laughter.

“I can’t bear it!” zinged Ellen.
