I was honored to have spent time with Doreen. She is a first-class business person, and one of the nicest people you could hope to meet. As the first woman to own her own brokerage firm on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, she stands as a wealth of information. What I learned from her will find a place in my future research on gender equality in the workplace, equal pay, discrimination, and business history.
